19/11/20 – MIPLACE partners met remotely today for a very successful second general assembly. There were excellent presentations on microbial hydrolysis of PET and PU; engineering synthetic communities using plastic as feedstock; synthetic microbial communities for monomer production; and systems level analysis and design of enhanced communities. There was also a presentation that included responsible research and innovation (RRI). Presentations were followed by engaging discussions on progress made and on next steps.
